Hotel prices in the resort town of Bansko (Southwestern Bulgaria) are expected to drop by 50 per cent from the ones prevailing during the winter tourist season, Ani Pencheva of the Governing Board of the Bansko Tourist Association told BTA.
For 50 leva a visitor will be able to book a bed in a double room, which includes breakfast plus the use of a spa centre and all other services hotels can offer, Pencheva said.
The local hotels have a variegated programme to propose to tourists this summer. All professionals engaged in the trade are working for the enrichment of the Bansko tourist product. Visitors can choose from a wide range of events and landmarks presenting the local folklore, culture and traditional cuisine.
From May 21 to 24 - Days of the Bansko Tradition - the Association organizes a visitor information tour for the second time.
"We are going to invite to it tour operators and media representatives in order to show them how many things we are arranging for the summer season," Pencheva said.
This summer, too, Bansko expects foreign tourists from France, Switzerland, the United States and a lot of other countries.
Visiting it every weekend has become a tradition for the Greek. They come not only as organized group tourists but also as individual ones. Bulgarians visit often Bansko as well.
