Strong Performance for Banks, Holding Companies on BSE

Several large-scale trades in Bulgartabac Holding's stock accounted for the bulk of the turnover of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) today. A total of 189,804 shares in the company traded hands on the day at an average price of 16.30 leva per share, or a total of 3.09 mln leva. BSE's total turnover amounted to 4.8 mln leva, while the value of the over-the-counter trades exceeded 512 000 as at 2.45 p.m.
A total of 79 issues were traded on the day with 50 of the stocks posting prices gains..
Three of BSE's indexes ended today's session in positive territory. Advancers included SOFIX (+2.91%, to 288.12 points), BG 40 (+0.46%, to 87.86 points) and BG TR30 (+3.03%, to 215.10 points). BG REIT was the only decliner slipping by 0.36% to 39.18 points.
Today's session was once again positive for the shareholders of banks and holding companies. Industrial Holding Bulgaria's stock appreciated by 7.14%, to 1.50 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to 24,715 shares.
Chimimport gained 7.10% to 1.66 leva per share after 65,909 shares in the company changed hands on the day.
The traded volume on the position of Stara Planina Hold came to 4,830 shares. The stock appreciated by 8.70%, to 1.50 leva per share.
Holding Roads was also among today's best performers on BSE. The stock price of the company went up by 7.00%, to 2.25 leva per share after 11,555 shares traded.
Eurohold Bulgaria gained 5.56%, to 0.95 leva per share. The trade volume on the position 7 261 shares.
Some of the other advancers included Central Cooperative Bank (+4.05%, to 0.90 leva), First Investment Bank (+6.19%, to 1.70 leva) and Bulgarian American Credit Bank (+0.24%, to 8.42 leva). No transactions were sealed on the position of Corporate Commercial Bank.
Sopharma ended today's session in positive territory. A total of 71,100 shares in the company traded hands on the day. The stock appreciated by 1.25%, to 1.94 leva per share.
Monbat's stock price went up by 0.83%, to 3.88 leva per share after 38,749 shares traded. Monbat bought by the end of March back a total of 733,659 of its shares at an average price 6.41 leva per share, or a total of 4.7 mln leva. The stock accounts for 1.88% of the capital of the company.
Lead & Zinc's advance continued today. The stock of the company appreciated by 3.49%, to 8.90 leva per share.
Other advancers on the day included Kaolin (+8.40%, to 2.84 leva), Alcomet (+11.11%, to 1.50 leva), Balkan (+16.22%, to 4.30 leva), Medica (+2.78%, to 1.48 leva) and etc.
