Trade on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) did not pick up even after the annual non-consolidated financial reports of the companies were published. The main reason for this is the lack of major corporate news and large-scale deals, which could change the status-quo", Mincho Minchev, chief dealer at Investbank, told Profit.bg.

„It turns out that only major news may raise or pull down the price of a company's stock", Minchev added. „A recent example of this is the sale of 30% in Corporate Commercial Bank. The stock of the bank appreciated by 12% after the news was broken".

The SOFIX blue-chip index posted its second straight gain yesterday advancing by 0.66%, to 278.64 points. The broader BG40 ended yesterday's session 0.22% up at 89.42 points.

The index of real estate investment trusts BGREIT closed 0.75% higher at 41.71 points. BGTR30 was the biggest advancer yesterday gaining 1.35%, to 197.79 points.

BSE's overall turnover came to 1.46 mln leva. A total of 77 issues were traded on the day with 38 of the stock posting gains.
