Trade on BSE Comes to Near Halt

Trade on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange has come to a near halt, while the management of the bourse is holding meetings with representatives of the investment community regarding the possibility of issuing and trade in structured products on indexes and other instruments.
BSE's overall turnover came to 553,737 leva. The bond market accounted for 201,000 leva of the figure. A total of 67 issues were traded on the day with 27 of the stocks posting price gains. The value of the over-the-counter deals exceeded 994,000 leva as at 2.40 p.m.
Three of BSE's indexes ended today's session lower. Decliners included SOFIX (-0.51%, to 373.36 points), BG40 (-0.73%, to 104.45 points) and BG TR30 (-0.62%, to 279.35 points).
BG REIT advanced by 1.45%, to 39.96 points.
