Another Negative Week for BSE

There was no repetition this week of the positive scenario we witnessed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) in the end of last week. After fluctuating between positive and negative territory throughout the day the SOFIX blue-chip index ended the session with a loss.
The index slipped by 0.53%, to 260.79 points. Unlike the blue-chip index, the broader BG40 managed to stay afloat advancing by 1.21%, to 85.85 points. BG REIT (-0.12%, to 39.99 points) and BG TR30 (-0.72%, to 188.04 points) also ended the day lower.
BSE's overall turnover exceeded 937,000 on the day, while the value of the over-the-counter deals topped 193,000 leva as at 2.40 p.m. A total of 75 issues were traded on the day with 23 of the companies posting stock price gains.
All four indexes posted weekly losses at the close of today's session. The declines are as follows: SOFIX (-5.81%), BG40 (-4.72%), BG REIT (-2.72%) and BG TR30 (-5.26%).
The indexes are also in negative territory since the start of February. SOFIX has lost 9.07% of its value so far in the month; BG40 is 5.75% down; BG REIT has slipped by 1.36%, while BG TR30 has shed 7%.
Only six of the companies, included in the calculation of the BG40 posted weekly gains. TK Hold was the biggest gainer, advancing by 17.92%, to 2.5 leva per share.
Polimeri gained 12.5% this week, to an average of 1.35 leva per share. Bulgarska Roza -Sevtopolis ended the week 3.7% higher, at an average of 0.56 leva per share.
Biggest decliners included Billboard (-18.46%, to 1.06 leva per share), Synergon Holding (-11.04%, to 1.37 leva) and Albena Invest Holding (-10.09%, to 2.85 leva).
