Bulgarian and Romanian companies are most interested to cooperate in agriculture and construction, it emerged at a presentation of Romania's biggest fair centre ROMEXPO held during the AGRA 2009 exhibition in Plovdiv on Thursday.

Both countries are among the most successful EU member states in the field of agriculture. Revenues from agriculture and incomes of the employed in the sector in the EU member states went down 4.3 per cent year-on-year in 2008 with the exception of Bulgaria and Romania where they rose 24.5% and 21.4%, respectively, Eurostat data made public of Thursday showed.

This explains the interest for joint activities between companies from both countries. So far, 535 Bulgarian companies have participated in ROMEXPO events in 2008. A great part of them exhibited products at IndAgra Farm agricultural exhibition.
