„The major indexes on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) are expected to extend their decline further and to drop to new lows during today's session, Marin Kosturski, broker at BenchMark Finance, told Profit.bg.

The lack of buyers and the low liquidity do not allow sellers to close positions, without affecting negatively the companies' stock prices.

„Most investors expect the adoption of the rescue plan in the U.S. and the return of the optimism of the international capital market players", Kosturski added.

The decline of the Bulgarian indexes continued during yesterday's session. As a result the SOFIX blue-chip index dropped to its July 2003 levels, while BG40, BGREIT and BGTR30 slipped to new all-time lows.

SOFIX lost 2.56%, to 265.55 points, while BG40 shed 1.37%, to 88.37 points.

The index of real estate investment trusts BGREIT lost 3.79%, to 39.87 points, while BGTR30 skidded 2.59% lower, to 191.09 points.

BSE's overall turnover came to 6.89 mln leva yesterday. A total of 82 issues were traded on the day with 24 of the stocks posting price gains.
