Representatives of five parliamentary opposition parties will start consultations today for the impeachment of President Georgi Parvanov, bTV reported.

The news was confirmed by the press office of Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) after the leaders of opposition parties left in protest yesterday's meeting of the Consultative National Security Council chaired by the President with the motif that Georgi Parvanov should resign as a result of the findings in the OLAF report.

Representatives of DSB, United Democratic Forces (UDF), Bulgarian New Democracy (BND), Bulgarian Peope's Union and Ataka will take part in the consultations.

DSB and BND have 16 MPs each. UDF and Bulgarian People's Union have 14 MPs, while Ataka has 11.
