Indexes Drop Today, Still Up On a Weekly Basis
In spite of their declines today, local indexes still had a strong week. SOFIX added 4.02% for the five business days to 1604.84 points, and BG 40 jumped 6.57% to 393.09 points.
BSE’s daily turnover stood at a little over 532 mln leva (272.007 mln euros), mainly due to the transfer of a 70% stake in Insurance and Reinsurance Company DZI. 2.77 mln shares changed hands during the bourse session at 188.36 leva, or 522 mln leva (266.894 mln euros) in total.
The stock of Orgachim dropped 4.8% today, to an average of 413.78 leva, but on a weekly basis it is still 18% up. The company said it is about to file the 1H report with the BSE next week.
13,310 lots of Doverie United Holding changed hands today at an average of 8.42 leva,or 5.51% up from yesterday.
IH Bulgaria and Sopharma also ended on positive territory, adding 2.93% and 2.11%, to 12.31 leva, and 7.75 leva, respectively. Meanwhile Chimimport lost 1.02% to 14.55 leva/share.
The decline in SOFIX was mainly due to the 4.81% drop on the position of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company, where 11,000 shares changed hands at an average of 11.87 leva.
The stock of Elhim Iskra jumped 15.05% to 7.49 leva. Nearly 11,000 lots were transferred on the position today. The new shares from the capital increase of the company will be floated on the BSE on Tuesday, the bourse announced.
Eurohold Bulgaria hit a record level at 5.939 leva, and the average price rose 4.4% to 5.69 leva.
Fazerles gained 4.02% to 222.90 leva, and Plovdiv Yuri Gagarin BT climbed 4.54% to 222.90 leva. The stock of Hydraulic Elements and Systems surged 7.23% to 31.90 leva.
Trade on the position of Himko AD Vratsa was not as active as yesterday. 210,000 shares changed hands today at 0.40 leva, which is 4.76% down from yesterday.
BG40 lost 0.68% today, and SOFIX dropped 0.34%. The proportion between gaining and losing companies today was 2 to 1.
