The Association of Turkish Businessmen in Bulgaria and the Federation of Businessmen in Northern Anatolia reached an understanding for cooperation and joint business initiatives in Bulgaria and Turkey.

The presidents of the two business organizations signed a protocol to this effect in Silivri, near Istanbul, in the presence of businessmen from the two countries.

Gunal Baylan, President of the Federation of Businessmen in Northern Anatolia, said at the signing ceremony that the protocol is an important step in expanding and deepening the business relations with Bulgaria, the Cihan News Agency said.

In his words, joint initiatives will be implemented within the framework of the two countries' cross-border cooperation developing and carrying out joint projects.

Zeki Bayram, President of the Association of Turkish Businessmen in Bulgaria, emphasized that Bulgaria offers good conditions to foreign investors.

"Bulgaria has been a democracy for 21 years now. In the past three or four years serious work has been done to develop the business and attract foreign investors which can also enjoy preferences. I believe that with concentrated efforts we will contribute to the expansion of business contacts between our two neighbouring countries," Bayram said.
