The SOFIX blue-chip index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted its fifth straight decline today. The index ended the session 0.98% down, at 355.92 points. The broader BG40 advanced by 0.82%, to 107.41 points. The other two indexes ended the day in negative territory. BG REIT slipped by 0.86%, to 47.1 points, while BG TR30 skidded 0.84% lower, to 273.07 points.

BSE's overall turnover amounted to 2.11 mln leva on the day. A total of 81 issues were traded with 27 of the stocks advancing. The value of the over-the-counter deals stood at 6.43 mln leva as at 2:30 p.m.

On segment A of BSE's Official market a total of 50 420 shares Stara Planina Hold traded hands on the day. A total of 40,000 shares were transferred in three deals. The stock depreciated by 3.64%, to 1.85 leva per share.

Some of the advancing stocks on segment B of BSE's Official market included Central Cooperative Bank (+1.64%, to 1.12 leva per share), Petrol (+9.09%, to 10.8 leva per share) and Monbat (+0.85%, to 4.74 leva per share).

Decliners on the day included First Investment Bank (-2.92%, to 2.62 leva per share), Corporate Commercial Bank (-0.23%, to 65 leva per share), Chimimport (-1.7%, to 2.03 leva per share) and Lead & Zinc Complex (-0.58%, to 6.81 leva per share).

Bulgarian American Credit Bank also ended the day lower. The stock of the bank depreciated by 1.64%, to 12 leva per share.

Infrastructure companies closed the day mixed. Holding Roads lost 1.23%, to 3.2 leva per share. Trace Group Hold shed 2.56%, to 38 leva per share. Moststroy was the only advancer on the day. The stock of the company appreciated by 6.58%, to 3.89 leva.

Etropal posted yet another big gain today. The stock of the company appreciated by 7.6%, to 3.4 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to 11,571 shares.

A total of 11,350 shares in Billboard changed hands on the day. The stock appreciated by 3.22%, to 3 leva per share.
