BSE Indexes Snap Five-Day Losing Streak
All four indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) ended today's session on positive territory snapping a five-day losing streak.
The SOFIX blue-chip index advanced by 5.48% to 638.76 points recovering part of its recent losses. The BG40 index of the most traded stocks added 5.36% to its value closing at 164.29 points.
The BG30 index of best performers in total return closed 4.54% higher at 433.28 points. The BGREIT index of real estate investment trusts was 2.56%, to 66.23 points.
BSE's overall trading turnover remained relatively low today at 4.41 mln leva, compared to 17 mln leva yesterday. The value of the over-the-counter deals stood at 1.61 mln leva. A total of 111 issues were traded today wuth 73 of the companies posting stock prices gains.
Albena Invest Holding posted the biggest stock price increase among the company traded on segment A of BSE's Official market. The stock of the company appreciated by 10.86%, to 7.10 leva per share. Synergon Holding's stock prices went up by 9.72%, to 3.84 leva per share.
All four banks included in the calculation of the SOFIX blue-chip index posted gains today. Bulgarian American Credit Bank (BACB) advanced the most (13.18%, to 24.9 leva per share). The turnover on the position, however amounted to a mere 316 shares. BACB was also the biggest advancer among the blue-chips today.
Corporate Commercial Bank's stock price went up by 10%, to 77 leva per share. A total of 113,548 shares in First Investment Bank traded hands on the day. The stock of the company appreciated by 2.99%. The market capitalization of Central Cooperative Bank grew by 4.13% after 7,537 shares traded.
Some BSE's advancers today included Sopharma (+12.27%, to 2.47 leva), Eurohold Bulgaria (+12.14%, to 2.67 leva), Billboard (+10%, to 3.85 leva) Bulgarska roza-Sevtopolis (+9.10%, to 1.09 leva), Sparky Eltos (+7.8%, to 5.25 leva), Monbat (+7.99%, to 6.6 leva).
Infrastructure company also posted stock price gains today. Trace Group Hold's stock advanced by 7.59%, to 52 leva per share, while Moststroy advanced by 11.74%, to 10.95 leva per share. Holding Roads' stock price remained unchanged at 13 leva per share.
