BSE's weekly turnover this week came to 81.06 mln leva (4.14 mln euros).

A transaction on Friday afternoon, in which 21 million shares in Chimimport changed hands at 3 leva apiece, contributed greatly to the overall figure.

Turnover on the Unofficial Market of Equities, Segment A, stood at 12.7 mln leva (6.4 mln euros). The largest turnover was recorded on Wednesday (3.52 mln leva, 1.7 mln euros), when just one of the four official indexes on BSE closed in positive territory. This was the blue chips index SOFIX, which fell to a 33-month low the next day.

The value of this week's transactions in shares on the Official Market of Equities stood at 10.95 mln leva. Wednesday was the strongest day on this segment as well (3.5 mln leva).

Transactions on BSE's most prestigious segment came to 793,000 leva. The largest turnover was recorded on Wednesday (a little less than 286,000 leva).

Turnover from deals in REITs' stocks for the 15 – 19 September period reached 4.56 mln leva, 1.83 mln of which generated on Wednesday.

Transactions in bonds amounted to 1.68 mln leva on the Unofficial Market of Equities. Bonds worth 1.41 mln leva were transferred on Wednesday alone.

SOFIX fell 10.99% from 959.17 to 853.75 points and BG40 slipped 11.69%, from 234.24 to 206.86 points for the week.
